Mir Iterat Haideri, a resilient cyclist from Srinagar, is rewriting the narrative on combating drug abuse in India. Over the past six years, he has pioneered an unparalleled anti-drug campaign on the wheels of his bicycle, making him the first youth in the country to embark on such a transformative journey.
A Unique Approach to Eradicating Drug Menace
Residing in Lal Bazar District, Jammu and Kashmir, Haideri’s mission transcends boundaries as he tirelessly cycles through different regions, advocating for a drug-free life. His unconventional approach captures the attention of the youth, encouraging them to turn away from drugs and embrace positivity.
“I have waged the war for the last 6 years against drugs in Kashmir in different ways & this war will continue till my last breath,” affirms Haideri.

His remarkable achievements include full Kashmir coverage, braving minus 12-degree temperatures in Chilai Kalaan, completing the challenging Srinagar to Kargil route in an astonishing 35 hours and 30 minutes, and covering the arduous Srinagar to Gurez journey in a mere 22 hours.
