Massive Forest Fire Erupts in Compartment No. 47 of Marmat hills ; Efforts Ongoing to Contain Blaze

MARMAT: A major forest fire broke out in Compartment No. 47 of Panchayat Roat B, located in the Marmat hills, earlier today. The fire, which reportedly began between 3 and 4 p.m., has prompted an urgent response from local residents and forest department teams, who are working on a war footing to contain the flames.
The fire has already destroyed dry grass, typically stored as fodder for cattle, leaving it reduced to ashes. Additionally, few wooden huts within the forest area have caught fire, as per reports, raising concerns about further destruction if the flames continue to spread in the jungle.
Locals of the area are putting the efforts to control the fire continue, but the situation poses a serious threat to the surrounding jungle if containment measures do not succeed promptly.
