Massive Forest Fire Engulfs Aloosa Forest Belt in Bandipore, Kashmir
A large forest fire has been raging for the past four days in the Aloosa forest belt of North Kashmir’s Bandipore district.
Villagers and forest employees are making efforts to control the fire, which has spread to nearby compartments.
The blaze is visible from the Bandipora-Sopore road, approximately 10 km from the town. Dry weather conditions have contributed to the spread of the fire across compartments.
Multiple forest fire incidents have been reported recently in different locations, causing significant damage to trees.
The forest department is facing criticism for perceived inadequacies in firefighting efforts.
