Upon receiving the alert, locals, police, fire tenders, and army personnel swiftly converged on the scene to initiate efforts to contain the fire, according to officials.

The flames originated from a kiosk within the market, rapidly spreading to engulf the entire area, posing significant challenges for the firefighting operation, officials explained.

Although the fire was eventually brought under control, the aftermath revealed extensive damage, with numerous tin and wooden sheds utilized by vendors reduced to ashes in the intense blaze, as per official statements.
