    According to official sources, the altercation was rooted in a land dispute that escalated into a stone-throwing brawl.

    The dispute began when members of the two factions started hurling stones at each other. During the commotion, Mohammad Sadiq was hit on the head by a stone, causing severe injuries.

    The impact left him in a critical condition, prompting immediate evacuation from the scene to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Surankote. Unfortunately, Sadiq succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.

    The local police have confirmed the incident and have initiated an investigation. They have registered a case to look into the circumstances surrounding the deadly clash and to determine the responsible parties.

    The situation underscores the escalating violence related to land disputes in the region and highlights the urgent need for conflict resolution mechanisms to prevent such tragic outcomes.
