On the morning of October 20, the Andaman Sea experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter Scale. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) promptly reported this seismic event.
Andaman Sea Shakes with Early Morning Tremors
The earthquake occurred at 5:50 am and had a depth of 10 km, as indicated by NCS data. The coordinates provided by NCS for the quake’s epicenter were a latitude of 14.15 and a longitude of 93.08.
NCS serves as the official agency of the Government of India responsible for monitoring earthquake activity within the country.
