Lt Governor Manoj Sinha Reviews Festival Preparedness
Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha led a high-level meeting today to assess the readiness of concerned departments and agencies for the forthcoming Eid, Navratras, and Baisakhi festivals. In attendance were prominent officials including Chief Secretary Sh Atal Dulloo, DGP Sh RR Swain, ADGP Sh Vijay Kumar, and Administrative Secretaries, among others.
Ensuring Smooth Festival Conduct
During the meeting, Lt Governor Sinha directed Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police to personally visit significant holy places and ensure the seamless conduct of the festivals. He emphasized the importance of adhering to ECI guidelines and instructed for all necessary arrangements to be made.
Comprehensive Arrangements
Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the need for comprehensive arrangements, including security, traffic and crowd management, identification of parking areas, availability of essential items at regulated rates, and the formation of teams for regular market inspections. He stressed the importance of uninterrupted water and power supply, medical facilities, fire and emergency services, and sanitation and cleanliness measures.
The directives aim to ensure that the festivals are celebrated smoothly and safely, with all necessary measures in place to cater to the needs of the public. Lt Governor Sinha reiterated the importance of coordination between various departments and agencies to achieve these objectives effectively.
