Leh District Enforces Section 144:Order Issued by District Magistrate
District Magistrate Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS, has invoked Section 144 of the CrPC 1973 in response to credible information indicating a potential breach of peace in the region, as reported by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Leh.
Leh District Enforces Section 144:Restrictions and Caution
The order prohibits processions, rallies, or marches without prior written approval, along with the use of mounted vehicles or loudspeakers without authorization. Public gatherings are strictly forbidden without prior approval, and individuals are warned against statements that could disrupt communal harmony or public tranquility. Violation of the order will result in punitive action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
