Leaked Specifications Reveal Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Details Ahead of Launch
Anticipated for a January 2024 release through a Galaxy Unpacked event, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to succeed the previous Galaxy S23 lineup that entered global markets in February.
The upcoming series, which includes the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, has witnessed several leaks revealing design renders, configurations, and colour options.
Tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) briefly unveiled detailed specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, subsequently removed from the platform but captured by 9to5Google before deletion.
According to the leaked specifications, all three models—the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra—will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The base and Plus models may feature Aluminium Armor 2.0 bodies, while the Ultra variant might offer a Titanium frame. Moreover, they are expected to support 8K video recording capabilities.
Reportedly, the Galaxy S24 might sport a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X full-HD+ display, while the S24+ and S24 Ultra could have 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch screens, respectively, with Dynamic AMOLED 2X quad-HD+ resolution. All models could support a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Battery-wise, the base Galaxy S24 may house a 4,000mAh battery, while the S24+ and S24 Ultra could feature 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively. Available in black, grey, violet, and yellow, the base model could offer 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage. In contrast, the Plus and Ultra models might include 12GB RAM and storage variants of 256GB and 512GB.
Camera specifications suggest the Galaxy S24 and S24+ could have a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup with up to 3x dual telephoto lenses. The Ultra version might boast a 200-megapixel quad rear camera system, supporting up to 10x telephoto lens.
A prior leak hinted at an AI-powered feature on the Galaxy S24 Ultra that could assist in erasing subjects from videos, enhancing low-light performance, reducing graininess, and improving video stability and exposure.
