As 2024 has come to an end, JustWatch has released the latest data report on market shares in India. As usual, we based our report on the 5.3 million JustWatch users in India selecting their streaming services, clicking out to streaming offers and marking titles as seen.
SVOD market shares in Q4 2024
In the last quarter of the year, India’s major providers Hotstar and Prime Video are neck-and-neck for the top spot. Meanwhile, Netflix is climbing the ranks with a 5% lead over Apple TV+ and Zee5.
Market share development in 2024
Netflix is the top provider in India and displays incredible growth throughout 2024 with an outstanding +3% increase since January. Jio Cinema and Apple TV+ show similar progress with a +2% addition in shares each.
In contrast, Hotstar and Alt Balaji struggle to hold on to their shares with a -2% loss each.
