
JustWatch Releases Q1 2025 Streaming Market Shares for the United Kingdom
JustWatch, the world’s leading streaming guide, has published its latest streaming charts highlighting Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) market share developments in the United Kingdom for the first quarter of 2025.
Based on data from 3.8 million monthly users across the UK, the report presents a detailed view of current consumer preferences and shifting platform performance.

JustWatch’s Market Shares are calculated based on user interest in our website, TV, and mobile apps. User interest in the United States is measured by adding movies or TV shows to their watchlist, clicking out to a streaming service, filtering multiple streaming services, and marking titles as “seen.”
Netflix retained the top spot in the UK streaming market, holding a narrow lead of just 1% over Prime Video, with 26% and 25% market share respectively. Disney+ followed with a strong 20%, while Apple TV+ held 8%—roughly one-third of Netflix’s share. ITVX and NOW TV each secured a 6% share, with Channel 4+ representing a modest 2%, just a quarter of Apple TV+’s presence.
Market Share Development in 2025
Between December 2024 and March 2025, most platforms experienced slight market corrections. Netflix, Prime Video, NOW TV, and Channel 4 each declined by 1%. Disney+, Apple TV+, and ITVX remained stable, showing resilience in a competitive landscape. Paramount+ was the only provider to see growth, rising by 2%.
Year-over-year performance
Looking at the year-over-year trend, Paramount+ emerged as the fastest-growing platform with a 3% increase. Apple TV+ also saw a positive shift, up 1% compared to 2024. Meanwhile, Netflix, Prime Video, and NOW TV all fell by 2%, with Channel 4+ dipping slightly by 1%. Disney+ and ITVX maintained consistent performance year-over-year.
