John Dramani Mahama wins Presidential Elections in Ghana
The ruling party in West African nation, Ghana suffered a massive blow in general elections. Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama emerges victorious as he defeats his rival candidate, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
66-Year-old Mahama, served as president of Ghana during 2012-2016. Though, the official results are yet to be declared/announced by the Electoral Commission, Mahama stated, he received a congratulatory call from his opponent candidate, in advance. While adding further, he post on X:
I have, this morning, received a congratulatory call from my brother Dr @MBawumia, following my emphatic victory in Saturday’s election.
As thousands of supprter flee to roads to celebrate victory of Mahama, Bavuma also clarified that, he called Mahama to congratulate him as his party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) also won the parliamentary elections in Ghana. To avoid any tension, and maintain the peace, i accept the results.

As per media reports, initial reports suggest that NDC has 53% voter, as compared to opponents 46%., and is set to win on 185 seats out of 276 seats. However, Electoral Commission, is likely to announce the results.
