
JKLCU Meets Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma, Demands Regularization of services, Provide us salary atleast according to Minimum Wages Act and Pension after retirement.
Jammu, Fri,28 Feb. – A delegation of the Jammu Kashmir Lamberdars Chowkidars Union (JKLCU), led by its Chairman Mukesh Parihar, met Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
The minister holds key portfolios, including Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, and ARI & Training.

During the meeting, the union submitted a memorandum demanding the Demands Regularization of services, Provide us salary atleast according to Minimum Wages Act, Pension after retirement, emphasizing the urgent need for fair wages, social security and better working conditions for Lamberdars and Chowkidars across Jammu & Kashmir.
Chairman Mukesh Parihar stressed that despite their increasing responsibilities in rural administration, Lamberdars and Chowkidars continue to receive inadequate wages and lack essential benefits. He urged the government to take immediate steps to ensure financial stability, social protection, and due recognition for this workforce.
The discussion also covered key concerns such as job stability, pension benefits, and additional welfare measures to improve their standard of living. The union members appealed to the minister for urgent intervention and policy reforms to safeguard their rights.
Several union representatives were part of the delegation including Ravi Kumar & Mohd Isaq General Secretary, Anil Kumar Anchal Katoch and collectively reiterated their demand for prompt government action on the issues raised.
