JKLCU organized it’s fourteen tehsil level meet at Marmat, elects tehsil body.

Marmat, Doda: Jammu Kashmir Lamberdars and Chowkidars Union (JKLCU) unit Marmat holds its meet at Goha to discuss various issues pertaining to them like burning issue to raise their monthly salaries in according to atleast mentioned in Minimum Wages Act. and any Lamberdar or Chowkidar who retire at the age of 60 years provide monthly pension to them.

Chairman Mukesh Parihar (Ph No 8492866752 ) Jammu Kashmir Lamberdars and Chowkidars Union said that the Lamberdars and Chowkidars are living in pathetic condition. We get Rs 1501 only for Lamberdars and only Rs 1500 for Chowkidars per month by our government.

As you are aware that under new guidelines any Lamberdar or Chowkidar must know read and write and most of the newly recruited Lamberdars or Chowkidars are highly qualified. As the new technology were introduced in Revenue Department every small and big work goes online. Due to this improvement in Revenue Department our work becomes very difficult now. We falls under 36 Departments to whom we are answerable.

District Organiser Doda Anil Kumar said that our government should revoke SRO 412 Dated 29th September, 2017 and should make a regular policy for Lamberdars and Chowkidars and also appeal to the different district’s Lamberdars and Chowkidars to join hands with us so that you can also be a part of our struggle”.

District Deputy Secretary Marmat Tanveer Ahmed & Arshid Hussain said that Lamberdari and Chowkidari are our prime occupation. We are unable to pay tution fees of school going childrens. We are living in miserable condition.

We are requesting to our government which is headed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah that kindly brings us atleast under Minimum Wages Act, provide monthly pension after retirement to any who retire at the age of 60 years.

JKLCU has elected its tehsil committee which consists of Tehsil Chief Organizer: Arshad Hussain, Organizer: Narayan Singh, Tehsil Cashier: Om Raj while Tehsil Media Advisor is Tanveer Ahmed.
