
JKCA Lauds JK Ranji Team’s Performance, Calls for Better Infrastructure
Srinagar, Feb 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has praised the state team’s impressive Ranji Trophy campaign, highlighting its growth and competitive edge despite narrowly missing a semifinal spot.
At a press conference, JKCA member Manzoor Wazir and former Ranji player Parvaiz Ahmad emphasized that J&K’s victories are no longer seen as mere upsets. “Our team has proven its capability, changing the perception of J&K cricket,” they stated.

Parvaiz stressed the need for better training facilities and playing conditions to sustain this momentum. He highlighted:

Praising pacer Umar Nazir’s composed reaction after dismissing Rohit Sharma, Parvaiz noted that J&K players now exhibit “maturity and dignity in both victory and defeat.” He also commended the team’s strategic decisions, including benching key players when necessary to maintain a competitive edge.
