
JKBOSE Issues Revised Date Sheet for Class 10th and 11th Exams After Flood Disruptions
Srinagar, Sept 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued revised date sheets for the Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual 2025 examinations of Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) and Class 11 (Higher Secondary Part-I), cancelling the earlier schedules. The decision comes after inclement weather and floods forced the postponement of several papers in order to safeguard students and staff.
According to the notification, the new date sheet for Class 10 examinations will commence on September 8 with Social Science, followed by English on September 10, Science on September 13, and Urdu/Hindi on September 15. Additional or optional subjects, including Arabic, Kashmiri, Dogri, Bhoti, Punjabi, Persian and Sanskrit, will be held on September 17, while vocational subjects are scheduled for September 19. Examinations for Home Science, Painting/Art & Drawing, Computer Science and Music will follow on September 20, 22, 24 and 25 respectively. All Class 10 exams will be conducted in the afternoon shift at 2:00 PM.

For Class 11, the revised schedule also begins on September 8, with subjects varying across faculties. Science students will appear for Geography, while Arts, Commerce and Home Science streams have their respective papers on the same day. The subsequent examinations include Physics, History, Home Science, Management of Resources and Business Mathematics on September 10, followed by General English on September 13. The remaining papers, including Chemistry, Political Science, Accountancy, Computer Science and vocational subjects, will continue until September 24. These exams will be held in the morning shift at 10:00 AM.

The Board clarified that while the earlier date sheets stand cancelled, papers already conducted remain valid. It has also instructed Chief Education Officers, examination staff and district authorities to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations under the revised schedule.
