On the directions of SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, officers from District Police Kishtwar organized an educational program at Furqan Academy High School on October 7, 2024. The session was led by Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta, along with the SHO of Police Station Kishtwar and IC PP Hidyal.

The event aimed to raise awareness about pressing issues such as cyber crime, social crime, juvenile delinquency, and drug abuse. The officers spoke about the dangers and consequences of these activities, urging students to stay vigilant and make informed decisions.

A special focus was placed on online safety, with officers providing practical advice on how to avoid cyber threats and what steps to take if they encounter suspicious activity.

The interactive session allowed students to engage directly with the officers, asking questions and gaining valuable insights into both the legal and social repercussions of unlawful behavior. The officers also encouraged students to play an active role in reporting any suspicious or illegal activities.

In a message from SSP Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, he emphasized the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety of the community, particularly by focusing on issues like cyber crime and drug abuse.

He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in shaping a responsible future generation and urged the public to support the police in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and promote peace.

The school administration expressed their appreciation for the police’s efforts, noting that the program was well-received by students and staff alike. The initiative is part of a broader mission to foster a crime-free and drug-free environment in the region.
