SRINAGAR: An assistant sub-inspector of Jammu and Kashmir police, Mohammad Shafi, was discovered dead in his residence in the Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar on Saturday.
According to official sources, Shafi, who was stationed at the Ahmad Nagar police station, was found unconscious in his room.
Immediate action was taken to rush him to a nearby hospital, but the medical team declared him dead upon arrival.
