
JK Govt approves Revised DA For Employees Effective from July 2024
Jammu, January 27, 2025: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the revision of Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
The decision, approved under Council of Ministers Decision No. 001/01/2025 dated January 20, 2025, was formalized through Government Order No. 28-F of 2025 issued on January 27, 2025.
Details of the Revised DA
Existing DA Rate: 50% of basic pay.
Revised DA Rate: 53% of basic pay.
Effective Date: July 1, 2024.
The term Basic Pay refers to the salary drawn in the prescribed pay matrix as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations and excludes any other type of pay such as special allowances.

Payment Schedule
Arrears: The arrears for the additional installment of DA from July 2024 to December 2024 will be disbursed in cash in February 2025.
Monthly Salary: The revised DA will be included in the monthly salary from January 2025 onwards.
Rounding Off Policy
Fractions of 50 paisa and above will be rounded to the next higher rupee, Whereas, Fractions below 50 paisa will be ignored.
