
JK Assembly Speaker leads House Committee meeting on legislators’ concerns

Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, chaired a House Committee meeting today to discuss issues raised by legislators.
The meeting was attended by Opposition Leader Sunil Kumar Sharma and legislators Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad Khan (Gurezi), Surjeet Singh Slathia, Ali Mohammad Dar, Javid Hassan Baig, Ch Mohammad Akram, and Waheed Ur Rehman Para.
Key discussions focused on accommodation challenges faced by MLAs in Jammu and Srinagar. Legislators suggested identifying government quarters for temporary allotment until permanent arrangements are made.
The Speaker assured that their concerns, including accommodation, would be taken up with the government for prompt resolution.
Secretary of the Legislative Assembly, Manoj Kumar Pandit, along with other senior officials, was also present.
