ENTERTAINMENT, Oct 3, 2026 [VoM News]: Actor-politician Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay has made his directorial debut with Sigma, an action-comedy heist film starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah.

Following its theatrical release, social media reactions to Sigma have been mixed. Several viewers praised Sundeep Kishan’s performance, comedy sequences and the film’s interval and heist portions, describing them as suited for the big-screen experience.

Others, however, criticised the screenplay and character development, arguing that the writing could have been stronger for Jason Sanjay’s debut film. Some viewers nevertheless highlighted the carnival sequence and technical presentation as positives.

Sigma is produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner. The film features music composed by Thaman, while Krishnan Vasant handled cinematography.

The film has received a U/A certification and marks Jason Sanjay’s first major project as a filmmaker after choosing direction as his entry into the film industry.
