Jammu Kashmir NHM Releases Public Health Facilities Ranking for June
Key Highlights:
- Government Medical College Kathua tops the ranking for new GMCs.
- DH Kishtwar is the leading District Hospital.
- CHC Nagam, Budgam, achieves the highest rank among Community Health Centres.
SRINAGAR, JULY 26: The Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission (NHM) has announced the rankings of public health facilities based on the Hospital Management Information System (JK e-Sahaj) for June 2024. This evaluation highlights the performance of various healthcare institutions across different categories.
In the new Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) category, Government Medical College, Kathua, has secured the top position, followed by Government Medical College, Udhampur. Other notable mentions include GMC Rajouri, Government Medical College Baramulla, and GMC Doda, which complete the top five rankings.
Among District Hospitals, District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar has achieved the highest rank. It is closely followed by ASYM DH Budgam, DH Samba, DH Shopian, and DH Reasi, which also performed well in the evaluation.
For Community Health Centres (CHCs), CHC Nagam in Budgam has been recognized as the leading facility. CHC Pakherpora Budgam, CHC Dooru Anantnag, CHC Basholi Kathua, and CHC Billawar Kathua follow in the subsequent ranks.
The rankings were determined based on various factors including the registration process, conversion of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), registration of inpatient department (IPD) patients, and patient feedback uploaded on the JK e-Sahaj portal.
The system has also been integrated with Rapid Assessment System (RAS), the 104 Centralised Health Helpline for outbound calling, and the RCH portal of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
