Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association Names 18 Players for Ranji Trophy 2026-27 Preparatory Camp in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, October 5, 2026 [VoM News]: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has selected 18 senior men’s cricketers for an upcoming preparatory camp ahead of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season.

As per a JKCA communication dated October 4, the camp is scheduled to begin on October 6 at SK Stadium in Srinagar.

The players were selected following recommendations made by the Senior Men’s Selection Committee and approval by the competent authority.

Shubham Khajuria, Yawer Hassan, Qamran Iqbal, Abdul Samad, Paras Dogra, Kawalpreet Singh, Shubham Pundir, Kanhaiya Wadhawan, Abid Mushtaq, Vanshaj Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Auqib Nabi, Umran Malik, Sunil Kumar, Umar Nazir, Lone Nasir Muzaffar, Sahil Lotra and Waseem Bashir are among those called for the camp.

Jammu and Kashmir has a combination of experienced cricketers and young players preparing for India’s premier domestic first-class cricket competition.

Fast bowlers Umran Malik, Auqib Nabi and Umar Nazir are expected to strengthen the pace department during the preparations. Abdul Samad, Paras Dogra and Shubham Khajuria are among the experienced players included in the camp, while Abid Mushtaq provides a spin option.

The preparatory camp will provide the players an opportunity to work on physical fitness, skill development and match preparedness before the start of the Ranji Trophy season.
