James Solomon Statement On MAGA Acolyte and Jim McGreevey Donor Charlie Kushner Becoming Ambassador to France

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Jersey City mayoral candidate James Solomon issued the following statement following the vote to confirm MAGA Acolyte ($2 million to Trump and MAGA aligned groups) and Jim McGreevey Donor Charlie Kusher as Ambassador to France: 

“This is a sad day for New Jersey and for the nation. Charlie Kushner is a corrupt MAGA acolyte who got a pardon from Donald Trump and has funded every Jim McGreevey campaign since his first run for governor, including his current race for Mayor. Charlie Kushner should not be Ambassador to Guttenberg, let alone America’s longest friend and ally.

We know that Charlie and his family have given $15,300 to McGreevey’s campaign thus far. But he needs to come clean about how much he is really helping. McGreevey should be honest with the voters about just how much he has helped raise in addition to this direct support. Voters deserve to know just how much these MAGA acolytes are funding his campaign

Time and again, Jim McGreevey has had the chance to do the right thing and stop taking money from Charlie Kushner, and time and again, he’s continued to put his own interests instead of Jersey City. Jersey City deserves better than Jim McGreevey, who takes MAGA money from people like Charlie Kushner. As mayor, I will always be only on the side of Jersey City.”
