TEHRAN, November 1, 2026 (VoM News): In a retaliatory move against the United Kingdom’s participation in US-Israeli war against Iran, and labelling IRGC as threat, Iran has designated the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as “terrorist organisations.

Morely, Iran has described its foreign intelligence agency, MI6, as a “hostile group”, responsibile for hostile actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

While releasing a statement, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the measures were adopted in response to the UK’s alleged participation in the US-Israeli war against Iran and London’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) under its State Threats Act 2026.

As per the Ministry, the decision came after Iran’s Supreme National Security Council approves in a bid to protect its national security and national interests.

Earlier, the United Kingdom had designated the IRGC under its new legislation in July 2026.

The law allows foreign state bodies considered a threat to British national security to be listed, with individuals who support or assist the IRGC in the UK facing prison sentences of up to 14 years.

As, with the Iran’s announced the decision in a retaliatory measure against Britain’s decision, whose, however, the practical implications were not immediately clear.
