Indian Shares Open Higher in Special Session: Gains in Global Peers Reflected
In the special trading session on Saturday, Indian shares opened on a positive note, mirroring the upward trend in global markets. At the open, the Sensex saw a rise of 313.09 points (0.44%) to reach 71,969.31, while the Nifty climbed 75.80 points (0.35%) to stand at 21,698.20. Power Grid Corporation of India, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Axis Bank, and HDFC Bank were among the leading gainers on the Sensex, while Airtel and HUL experienced early losses.
