Specialized diving teams equipped with necessary gear have been positioned in Kolkata to provide prompt assistance. Additional diving teams with equipment are on standby in Visakhapatnam, ready for quick deployment if required.
Furthermore, two Flood Relief Teams (FRTs) along with HADR and medical supplies are being positioned in Kolkata. Two additional FRTs each from Visakhapatnam and Chilka are prepared and on standby for rapid deployment at short notice.
The situation is being closely monitored at Naval Headquarters, with the Eastern Naval Command overseeing comprehensive preparatory actions. The Indian Navy remains vigilant and ready to provide immediate and effective assistance in response to Cyclone Remal, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to mitigate the impact and support affected populations.
