In a significant effort to improve healthcare in remote regions, the Indian Army deployed a mobile medical patrol in the village of Lohakatha, Rajouri district. The patrol aimed to provide essential healthcare services to areas where medical facilities are often scarce.

Many residents in these regions suffer from treatable ailments that can become life-threatening due to lack of access to timely care.

The mobile medical patrol arrived equipped with basic medical supplies, offering immediate health check-ups, treatment for common illnesses, and the distribution of necessary medications. A special focus was placed on preventive care, including immunizations, as well as educating locals on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.

Vulnerable populations, particularly children and the elderly, received special attention to mitigate the risk of complications from untreated health issues.

In total, 54 villagers (24 men, 19 women, and 11 children) benefited from the patrol’s services. The initiative not only addressed immediate medical needs but also worked to foster trust and goodwill between the Indian Army and local communities.

The initiative helps reduce the overall healthcare burden, providing a proactive approach to preventing illness while reassuring residents of the Army’s dedication to their welfare.
