India summons Canadian ambassador after allegations labelled by David Morrison Minister against Indian Home Minister
India on saturday summoned the Canadian diplomat after the allegations were labelled against Indian Home Minister Amit shah. David Morrison, the Canadian Deputy Foreign Minister, made the allegations, that Indian Home minster Amit Shah have ordered to target/kill the khalistani extremists in the country. Morrison fueled the claim, on Tuesday, while addressing the members of Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, while replying to a question on Sunday stated that a diplomatic protest has been registered with Canadian authorities, and diplomat was summoned. Jaiswal termed such conduct as baseless and absurd.
The ties between India and Canada have seen a major strain.
