In a setback to the Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government in Haryana, three independent MLAs have withdrawn their support and declared their backing for the Congress party. Dhharampal Gonder, one of the independent MLAs, expressed feeling insulted due to being excluded from local election campaigns and announced support for Congress.
Another independent MLA, Randhir Singh Gollen, echoed similar sentiments, stating that after consulting with the public, they decided to back Congress due to various issues faced by the people, including those related to farmers, businessmen, and unemployment. Meanwhile, Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda highlighted the BJP’s loss of majority in Haryana and emphasized that minority MLAs have no right to govern.
This development comes amid the Lok Sabha polls and reshapes the political landscape in Haryana, where the BJP government now faces challenges with a reduced support base.
