IGNOU Extends July 2024 Admission and Re-Registration Deadline to Sept 10
Key Highlights:
- IGNOU extends deadline for July 2024 admissions and re-registration to September 10.
- Fresh admissions and re-registrations available for both ODL and online programmes.
- Government scholarship opportunities are available for eligible students post-admission.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for July 2024 fresh admissions and re-registrations to September 10, 2024. This extension applies to both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes, offering students more time to complete their enrollment process. However, this extension does not cover certificate and semester-based courses.
Prospective students can apply for these programmes through the official IGNOU websites: ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in for ODL programmes and ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for online courses. This extension aims to accommodate more students and reduce the rush as the original deadline approached.
In addition to new admissions, existing students who need to re-register for the next academic year or semester now have until September 10 to complete the process. This applies to both ODL and online modes, giving current students ample time to avoid any last-minute issues.
The application process for fresh admissions involves a straightforward online submission. Prospective students must upload several documents, including a scanned passport-sized photograph (less than 100 KB), a scanned signature (less than 100 KB), scanned copies of educational qualifications, and a category certificate (if applicable).
Applicants are advised to ensure that all scanned documents are within the specified size limits, as per the guidelines provided on the official IGNOU website.
Furthermore, eligible students admitted to IGNOU can apply for scholarships through the Government of India’s national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in, providing additional financial support to those who qualify.
This extended deadline offers a valuable opportunity for students to secure their education plans for the upcoming academic year.
