The Honor Magic 6 and Honor Magic 6 Pro were officially launched in China, showcasing cutting-edge features and powerful specifications. These new smartphones from the Magic series run on the latest MagicOS 8.0 skin, based on Android 14, and are equipped with Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Both models feature a stunning LTPO OLED display and a triple rear camera setup. The standout feature of the Honor Magic 6 Pro is its 180-megapixel periscope sensor, which headlines the rear camera unit. In terms of battery capacity, the Honor Magic 6 is powered by a 5,450mAh cell, while the Pro model boasts a slightly larger 5,600mAh battery. Notably, both smartphones are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.
The pricing details for the Honor Magic 6 start at CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs. 50,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, going up to CNY 4,999 (around Rs. 58,000) for the 16GB + 512GB configuration. On the other hand, the Honor Magic 6 Pro starts at CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs. 65,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB model, with the 16GB + 1TB version priced at CNY 6,699 (roughly Rs. 77,000).
Both smartphones are available in a range of colors, including Liuyunzi (violet), Haihuqing (green), Qi Lianxue (silver), Velvet Black, and Wheat Green. Pre-orders for these devices are currently open in China, with no official information yet on the India launch, leaving the series as potentially exclusive to the Chinese market.
The Honor Magic 6 runs on the company’s new MagicOS 8.0 interface, featuring a 6.78-inch full-HD+ OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and options for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Its triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The front camera is a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens.
Connectivity options on the Honor Magic 6 include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and more. The phone comes with various sensors, including an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with a 5,450mAh battery supporting 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro shares many specifications with the regular model but features a larger 6.8-inch display, offering an adaptive refresh rate and a higher screen-to-body ratio. The Pro model stands out with its impressive rear camera unit, including a 180-megapixel periscope camera with OIS support and 100x digital zoom. Additionally, it sports a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, along with dual selfie cameras and a 3D depth sensor on the front.
