Health Department Doda organises awareness Program for Students
DODA, MAY 18: Acting swiftly after reports of fever-like cases, the Health Department Doda, under the directions of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar, organized an awareness program at Green Model Hr Sec School, Doda.
The program was led by District Immunization Officer Dr. Versha Sharma and attended by Umar Anayat Khan (Epidemiologist) and Faizan A. Tramboo (I/c Media Desk) from the health department.The awareness campaign focused on Measles Rubella (MR) and other flu-like diseases such as fever and mumps.
The aim was to educate students and staff about the importance of a healthy diet, hygiene and following a healthy lifestyle to prevent infections and promote better health.Dr. Versha Sharma emphasized hand hygiene and gave demonstration of proper hand-washing technique to the students.Principal O.P. Chandail appreciated the efforts of the health department, expressing gratitude for promoting health awareness.
He acknowledged the importance of such initiatives towards educating the school community about health and hygiene practices.In addition to the awareness activities, the health department, in coordination with the Jal Shakti Department Doda, collected water samples from the school to evaluate the quality of drinking water and identify potential contaminants or hazards.
