Gujarat: Tragic Loss of Four Labourers in Surat Dyeing Unit
In a distressing incident in Surat’s Palsana locality, four labourers from Bihar lost their lives due to asphyxiation. This tragedy occurred at a dyeing unit factory located on the Palsana-Katodara road on Tuesday evening. The laborers were engaged in cleaning a septic tank when the accident happened.
Sequence of the Fatal Accident
According to the police, two of the labourers initially fell unconscious while cleaning the septic tank. In a bid to rescue them, two other labourers entered the tank but also succumbed to the noxious environment, losing consciousness. This sequence of events led to a fatal outcome for all four workers involved in the rescue attempt.
Emergency Response and Identification Efforts
Upon discovery of the situation, all four labourers were immediately extracted from the septic tank and rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, they were declared dead upon arrival by the medical professionals. The police are currently working to ascertain the identities of the deceased, who were known to be from Bihar.
