Department of Zoology Govt.PG college Bhaderwah observed World Tuberculosis Day 2024

Bhaderwah : Department of Zoology Govt.PG College Bhaderwah , under the guidence of incharge Principal Prof.Shakeel Ahmed Khanday and Headship of Dr.Ajaz Ahmed Wani organised an lecture on Tuberculosis with theme ” Yes we can end TB” The programme begain with the welcome address by Dr.Khursheed Ahmed ,he welcome one and all in the programme and give a brief introdution of tuberculosis which was followed by detailed lecture by Dr.Wani, in which he discussed the symptoms, transmission and other parameters related to TB .

He stressed the student community to act as ambassador regarding the awareness of Tb and the stimgma associated with it.He also talked about Nikshay Poshan yojna started by Govt.of India for the Tuberculosis patients.

He advised the students to report such cases to district Tuberculosis centre to join hands with our Honourable Prime Minister who has set the target of 2027 for Tb elimination from our country.

It is pertinent to mention here Dr.Wani is working on project Study and Survey of Tuberculosis in Chenab region sponsored by Science Technology and innovation council department of Science and technology Govt.of Jammu and Kashmir.

The programme culminated by vote of thank by Saloni student of B.Sc 6th semester.
