In a significant security operation, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district have recovered two Glock pistols suspected to have been airdropped by a Pakistani drone. This development follows the recent seizure of a China-made drone in the same area.

Recovery of Drone and Pistols

The BSF troops, acting on specific intelligence, initially recovered a drone in Khalra village, Tarn Taran district. Following this discovery, they launched a comprehensive search operation in the vicinity. This search led to the successful recovery of the two Glock pistols, which are made in Austria, as confirmed by a BSF official.

BSF’s Vigilance and Efforts

The BSF shared details of the operation in a post on their social media, highlighting the successful outcomes of their vigilant monitoring and tracking of drone intrusions along the India-Pakistan border. The recoveries were attributed to the sincere and tireless efforts of the troops on the ground.

Continuing their search on Saturday, the BSF personnel found two Glock pistols within the premises of a government school in Khalra. These weapons were reportedly wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.

Official Statement and Ongoing Investigation

The official statement confirmed the Austrian make of the weapons, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. This incident underscores the challenges faced by security forces in border areas, particularly in terms of illegal arms smuggling and the use of drones for such activities. The BSF continues to remain on high alert, and further investigations are ongoing to address and neutralize these security threats.
