At least 16 individuals lost their lives, and dozens more were wounded in Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon on Wednesday, as reported by Lebanese authorities and international media outlets. The Health Ministry confirmed that four fatalities and 38 injuries occurred in the Baalbek-Hermel region, as noted by Anadolu Agency.
In southern Lebanon, five people were killed, and 27 were injured in strikes targeting the towns of Tebnine and Bint Jbeil. Additionally, the state-run National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes killed four people and injured several others in the southern town of Joun.
Another strike in the northeastern town of Maaysrah, located in Keserwan, resulted in three deaths and nine injuries, according to local media sources.
These airstrikes mark the first Israeli attacks in Keserwan since cross-border clashes with Hezbollah escalated on October 8 of last year, an area predominantly inhabited by Shia Muslims.

The ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has intensified amid hostilities related to the Israeli war on Gaza, which has resulted in a staggering death toll of over 41,400, primarily affecting women and children.
