Janan Saiq, spokesperson for the ministry, highlighted the severity of the situation, stating that numerous families have been affected by the destruction of their homes. Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Works, acknowledged the challenges posed by landslides and floods, which have temporarily blocked roads in provinces like Badakhshan, Takhar, Ghor, and Nuristan.
Residents in affected regions have incurred major financial losses due to the floods, prompting calls for government assistance. Many are grappling with the loss of property and livelihoods, emphasizing the urgent need for support from the interim government.
