Culvert Damage Due to Heavy Rains
The incident occurred at the Rajal Top area in Nowshera, where a temporary culvert on the highway was washed away during a bout of heavy rainfall late on Thursday night. As a consequence of this, a significant number of vehicles found themselves stranded on the highway from the following morning.
Ongoing Bridge Construction

Traffic Diversions Implemented
In response to the washed-out culvert, Divisional Traffic Inspector Ajaz Mirza announced that traffic diversions were put in place. Heavy vehicles and passenger vehicles were rerouted from Siot towards Kalakote-Rajouri, while private and light motor vehicles were directed from Nowshera bridge to the Beri Pattan Sunderbani road.
