    A significant fire erupted at the BHEL stockyard in the North Karanpura area of Tandwa, Chatra district, Jharkhand, this past Saturday. The stockyard is situated approximately 150 km from Ranchi, the state capital. According to a press release from BHEL, the fire started around 1:30 pm at the BHEL Material Yard of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (NKSTPP).

    Upon receiving the report, the CISF Fire team and Disaster team were promptly dispatched to the scene. Additionally, teams from neighboring industries and local administrations were called in to assist in extinguishing the fire. Fortunately, BHEL confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.

    Dinesh Yadav, a guard at BHEL, recounted, “We noticed the fire spreading around 1:00 pm. All we could see was smoke and flames rising into the sky.” Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
