India | 09 April 2024: Finnair today announced its updated traffic programme for the summer of 2025. The airline will increase its frequency to Tokyo, Japan, providing daily flights to both Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita. Finnair will also add a third weekly frequency to Nagoya.
Furthermore, Finnair will introduce a new destination in Northern Norway, the town of Kirkenes, in the summer of 2025. The route to Kirkenes will be operated with a 68-seater ATR aircraft and will fly from Helsinki via Ivalo three times a week. The new route will cater to Finnish and international travellers who want to explore both Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway, and experience, for example, the famous Hurtigruten cruise that sails to and from Kirkenes.
“We are delighted to introduce a destination that further strengthens our already extensive network in the Arctic region. The new route enables a smooth connection for customers travelling up to Northern Norway, making it fast and easy to reach the destination from Helsinki”, says Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.
In the Baltic region, Finnair will add frequencies to Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius for the summer of 2025. Tallinn and Riga will add five additional weekly frequencies, while Vilnius will add two additional weekly frequencies.
Finnair has also updated its winter 2024 traffic programme, adding frequencies to Dallas, making it a year-round daily service. Finnair’s Dallas flights provide passengers with smooth connections to American Airlines’ extensive network out of their Dallas hub.
