Filipino Couple Mohammed and Aisha Inspire People to Embrace Islam

A Filipino couple, Mohammed and Aisha, have become an inspiring example of faith-based outreach, as they have helped more than 20 people embrace Islam, according to a report by Saudi Arabia’s Al Ekhbariya.

Their own journey of faith began with an unexpected religious difference at the start of their marriage, as reported by Saudi Arabia’s Al Ekhbariya.

The couple’s story began with two years of correspondence before they married in the Philippines in 1999.

Mohammed said he had converted to Islam before their marriage but had not initially told Aisha, fearing that misconceptions about the religion could affect their relationship.

Aisha said she discovered that Mohammed was Muslim after seeing him perform prayers on the first day of their marriage. She initially reacted strongly and told him that she intended to remain Catholic.

However, conversations about prayer and Islam subsequently sparked her curiosity.

“My curiosity grew, and I was drawn to Islam from the very beginning. I felt that God had guided me,” Aisha said, according to the report.

Over time, she embraced Islam, and the couple later began sharing their experiences and understanding of the faith with others.

Al Ekhbariya’s report further states that their outreach has since contributed to more than 20 people embracing Islam.

Their story has been highlighted as an example of faith-based outreach through personal experience, discussion and the couple’s understanding of Islamic values.
