
Fee Fixation Committe constituted in J-k for private colleges/institutions; FFC Demand intensifies for Medical & Engineering institutions
Jammu Kashmir Higher Education Department has ordered the constitution of Fee Fixation Committe for the revision of fee structure in all private colleges and institutions.

In a order {36-JK (HE) of 2025}, sanction has been accorded to the constitution of 14 members fee fixation committe headed by Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department as chairman, followed by Under Secretary, Higher Education Department (Dealing with private colleges) as Member Secretary of the committe.
The other members include, Director Finance Higher Education Department, Director Colleges J&k, Registrar University of Jammu, Registrar University of Kashmir, Director colleges Devolpment Council, Jammu, DEAN colleges Devolpment Council Kashmir, Nodal Principal Jammu, Nodal Principal Kashmir, Principal Govt College of Education Jammu, Principal Govt College of Education Kashmir, President All private colleges Assosiation Jammu division and All Private Colleges Assosiation Kashmir Division.
The fee structure in the private institutions have become a major mess, as allegations of open loot have been in recent past.
The users on social media has demanded for fee fixation committe for the revision of fee structure in medical and engineering colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.
Though, this order excludes the medical and engineering colleges/institutions but the students seeking the admission in higher ups, have demanded the fee fixation committe.
