Fatal Collision on Badarpur Flyover Claims Three Lives
In a tragic incident late on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, a collision between a car and a truck on the Badarpur flyover in New Delhi resulted in three fatalities and left four others injured.
The accident occurred around 12:48 am, as reported in a PCR call to PS Badarpur.
According to the preliminary enquiry by the police, the collision involved a car returning from Faridabad after a marriage ceremony.
The vehicle, carrying seven individuals, lost control on the Badarpur flyover. Subsequently, it collided with a truck after hitting the divider and veering onto the opposite carriageway.
“The car driver lost control, and the car hit the divider, going on the opposite carriageway, colliding with one truck.
Three died, and others were shifted to AIIMS Trauma Center,” stated the police. The injured were promptly transported to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for medical attention.
All victims, sadly, were residents of Sanjay Colony Okhala. As the investigation unfolds, officials are diligently working to understand the circumstances leading to this tragic accident.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving.
