Enforcement Directorate Summons Arvind Kejriwal Again in Liquor Excise Policy Case

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received a seventh summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), directing him to appear on February 26 for questioning in connection with the Delhi liquor excise policy case.

Despite multiple prior summons, Kejriwal has not appeared before the ED, citing various commitments and asserting that the matter is now before the court.

The AAP has criticized the ED’s actions as politically motivated, alleging that the BJP aims to arrest Kejriwal to destabilize his government in Delhi.

Ongoing Controversy: Kejriwal Skips Multiple Summons

Kejriwal has previously skipped multiple ED summons, questioning the timing and urgency while expressing willingness to cooperate.

The ED is investigating money laundering charges related to the Delhi liquor excise policy, focusing on allegations that the AAP government’s revamped alcohol sales policy involved kickbacks funneled into funding election expenses in various states.

While Kejriwal has not been named as an accused, senior AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, have faced arrests in the case.
