.ED Issues Fresh Summons to Tejashwi Yadav in Railway Land-for-Jobs Scam Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a renewed summons to Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in connection with a railway land-for-jobs scam case, setting the appearance date for January 5, as per PTI reports from official sources.
Initially called to appear on December 22, the 34-year-old leader did not attend the summons, dismissing it as a routine notification.
Meanwhile, his father and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav, has been directed to present himself on December 27 at the ED headquarters in Delhi in the same case.
The alleged scam traces back to the period when Lalu Prasad Yadav held the position of railway minister during the UPA-1 government.
During the period spanning 2004 to 2009, a purported arrangement granted Group “D” category jobs across various railway zones to numerous individuals who allegedly transferred land to family members of the then railway minister, Mr. Prasad, and a connected company named A K Infosystems Private Limited.
