ECP Designates Polling Stations in Hyderabad as Highly Sensitive
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has categorized 181 polling stations in Hyderabad as highly sensitive, along with 165 deemed sensitive and 337 marked as normal out of a total of 883 polling stations. The final polling scheme for nine seats in the national and provincial assemblies has been officially issued. With a total of 12,25,147 voters expected to participate in the 2024 general elections in Hyderabad on February 8, the ECP aims to streamline the voting process, ensuring a secure and organized electoral environment.
Strategic Security Measures for General Elections
In preparation for the upcoming general elections, the ECP has released a code of conduct for security officials, excluding the Armed Forces and Civil Armed Forces. The code emphasizes adherence to the law and collaboration with presiding officers, returning officers, and polling staff. This strategic approach aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and ensure a smooth and secure voting experience for the citizens of Hyderabad.
