Drug Peddler Arrested by Samba Police with 13.32 Grams Heroin Like Substance

Samba, April 11, 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 13.32 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession.

Acting on an information received through reliable sources, a Police party of PS Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, intercepted a pedestrian at JDA Colony near Balole Khad Bari Brahmana who was moving under suspicious circumstances.

During checking, 13.32 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of said person.

The drug peddler identified as Owais Ahmad Bhat S/o Gull Mohd Bhat R/o Devsar district Kulgam has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.

A case FIR No 55/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
