
Dr Tariq Parvaiz Retires After 33 Years of Service in Jammu Kashmir Animal Husbandry Department
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 1 [VoM News]: After over three decades in public service, Dr. Tariq Parvaiz, the Joint Director at the Institute of Animal Husbandry & Biological Products (IAH & BP) in Zakura, is officially retiring!
Dr. Parvaiz spent 33 years with the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Animal Husbandry, taking on key roles and making contributions across both divisions of the state. His impressive resume included leadership in livestock development, dairy and poultry operations, feed and fodder management, as well as project execution and departmental administration.
He was Joint Director for more than 5 years, taking the helm in managing essential administrative, coordinative, and executive functions for departmental programs and initiatives. Before that, he worked in several other impactful positions. These included Poultry Development Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), and Deputy Director (Central), Feed & Fodder.
Dr. Parvaiz’s professional journey was characterized by a blend of hands-on field experience and high-level administrative responsibilities. From the front lines in dairy and poultry, his career progressed to program planning, management, and rolling out government schemes across the sector.
Colleagues who worked with Dr. Parvaiz universally lauded him for his professional approach, technical acumen, administrative skills, and genuine commitment to public service.
As he embarks on his retirement, Dr. Parvaiz received warm wishes from his former colleagues and staff for a healthy, happy, and fulfilling future. They also took time to celebrate his valuable contributions to the Animal Husbandry sector and acknowledge the dedication he showed serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir for all those years.
His retirement signals the end of an outstanding 33-year government career filled with service in various field, technical, and administrative roles within the department.
