In a statement issued by J&K Police District Doda it was told that, CCIU (Cybercrime Investigation Unit of J&K Police District Doda has exhibited highest level of professionalism and commitment in combating against cybercrime by successfully solving and recovering huge online defrauded money amounting Rs. 5,78,375/ (10) complaints since April,2024.
While giving details J&K Police of District Doda said that the unit received complaints from (1)Aqib Jqved Gattu S/O Javed Gattu R/O Nagri, Doda (2)Sunil Kumar Sharma S/O Joginder Prashad Sharma R/O Saini Mohalla, Gole Panjpeer Talab Tillo, Jammu(3) Kewal Krishan S/O Puran Chand R/O Chiralla, Thathri (5) Sunil Kumar S/O Diwan Chand R/O Mohalla Doda (5) Iqra Balwan D/O Mohd Iqbal Balwan R/O Nagri Doda,(6) Sunil R/O Doda,(7) Mohd Ayoub Dar S/O Alia Dar R/O Dherwary Gandoh (8). Dr. Javed Mohi-ud-din Zargar S/O Gh. Mohi Ud Din Zargar R/O Sonwar Srinagar(9) Nawaz Ahmed S/O Abdul Khaliq Batt R/O Hanch Malna Doda, and (10) Sunil Sharma S/o Lekh Raj Sharma R/O Bhalla Doda.The complaints received in CCIU Doda inlvoves de-frauded amount in lacs and thousands.
During the course of investigation, CCIU team, led by PSI Ankush Nagra I/C CCIU Doda, exhibited hectic efforts and advanced technical skills which ultimately led to the successful recovery of defrauded amount of Rs. 5,78,375/-. This achievement underscores the unit’s expertise, dedication, and tireless efforts in safeguarding the common citizens against online fraud and cheating.
Mentionable here that CCIU Doda came to be established on 07-02-2024 and since then the unit has successfully recovered huge de-frauded money amounting Rs.9,88,595/-

  SSP Doda, Shri Javaid Iqbal-JKPS, reiterated his appeal to the  General Public to remain extra vigilant and report promptly  to the national helpline number 1930 or PCR Doda if any . suspicious  call online cheating is noticed.
